DIRECTIONS TO SPRINGBANK PARK
Stone Old Alleynians Div 1 Home Ground
M6 Junction15, take A 500 towards Stoke-on-Trent, exit A500 at A34 turning right
towards Stafford and Stone. Continue on A34 to Stone until you see the "The Wayfarer" public house on your right hand side. Immediately before the Walton Inn
turn right toward Yarnfield. Springbank Park is on the left half a mile after
going over the motorway bridge. You will notice the car-parking area on your
left the entrance to the ground is just after.
SPRINGBANK PARK INFORMATION
Current Ground
Stone Old Alleynians currently use the facilities at Springbank Park Yarnfield,
STONE, Staffordshire for their home ground, thanks to the landlord Bob Bowers.
The pitches on this site are very free draining and so do not suffer from
waterlogging in the winter months, this means that not too many of our home
matches get called off.
Ground Sponsor
Bob Bowers a Stone businessman has put a lot of time, effort and cash into
developing an excellent footballing facility that serves the local community
well. Stone Dominoes use these pitches along with other clubs. The Doms first
team however have been forced to move to Meir KA's ground because the Yarnfield
site has not been given clearance for floodlights by the local authority. Meir's
ground has also been upgraded as a result in order to accomodate the Dom's first
team and has been renamed Springbank Stadium Hilderstone. Thanks once again to
Bob's genorosity and love of football.
Ground Facilities
The ground has first class, and more than ample, car parking space for visiting
clubs. It also boasts really good player/officials changing rooms together with
a refreshments bar and area which is par excellence. Their is a covered viewing verandah attached to the main building and the spectators area to all pitches is
paved.
Visit Springbank Park
So, if you're at a loose end on a Saturday why not pay a visit to Springbank
Park for a Stone Old Alleynians or Stone Dominoes game, you'll be made more than
welcome and you can take in a decent game of football without it costing the
earth!

Stone Old Alleynians Div 2 Home Ground
Exit M6 at junction 15 onto A500. Exit A500 at A34 turning right and head
towards Stafford and Stone. Continue on A34 until you reach the Walton
roundabout (Shell garage on your right) and turn right into Eccleshall Road.
Proceed along Eccleshall Road and take the first turning on your left (just past
the row of shops). The ground on your left hand side just past the last row of
houses on the left. Exit M6 at junction 15 onto A500. Exit A500 at A34 turning
right and head towards Stafford and Stone. Continue on A34 until you reach the
Walton roundabout (Shell garage on your right) and turn right into Eccleshall
Road. Proceed along Eccleshall Road and take the first turning on your left
(just past the row of shops). The ground on your left hand side just past the
last row of houses on the left.
Tilling Road ground and facilities are owned and maintained by Stafford Borough
Council. Any damage to the facility will be pursued by the council. Please keep
the ground tidy and litter free, thank you! It is the home ground on a Saturday
to Stone Old Alleynians second team, who play in division two of the
Staffordshire County Senior League.
